Camping on Adventure Island is stunningly beautiful but it is primitive camping - no restrooms, running water or electricity. Campers must tote water to the island, and use the restroom and shower facilities on the mainland side of the Resort. Be prepared to carry your camping supplies across the "A" dock and onto the Island. We have carts you are welcome to borrow.

Individual tent sites have a fire pit and a picnic table. Most of the tent sites are designed to accommodate one 8'X10' 4-person tent. If you have more than one tent or an oversized tent, when making your reservation be sure to ask if the site will accommodate your needs. We do have a couple of larger sites available.

WARNING: Always use extreme caution with your children when camping on Adventure Island. There are steep cliffs and abrupt drop-offs on the back side of the island.

Adventure Island is for Family Camping -- it is not for singles, couples, or groups who are looking for a place to "Party." Our 10:00 p.m. - 7:30 a.m. quiet time is strictly enforced, as it is in the entire resort.

Firepit Cake (we've tried these - they're fantastic!!) (Courtesy of the Bryson Family)

Cut the tops off a few oranges and hollow them out just like we do pumpkins.

Mix up some cake batter. Put some in the oranges, put the top back on. Wrap in foil. Bake in firepit (flame & coals). Bake 20 minutes, rotate 2 times during baking. Eat & enjoy!!

Grill Breakfast (Courtesy of the Bryson Family)

Get a lunch-sized paper bag and line the bottom with bacon strips. Put about 1/4 cup frozen hash browns on top of bacon. Crack 1-2 eggs on top of hash browns. Add about 1/4 cup more hash browns. Optional - more bacon.

Roll the top of bag shut. Place on grill for 10 minutes, stir, then grill for 10 minutes more, then eat!
